Apple recently released a new edition of AirPods, known as the AirPods Pro. The closest match to the new AirPods are the Sony WF-1000XM3. The Sony Buds are priced $20 lower then the Airpods pro as well as featuring ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) and transparency mode. They also feature sensors to detect when the buds are removed and will automatically pause. The only downside to the Sony Buds is they lack any type of sweat or water resistance.
Jaybird’s Vista are designed for runners with a lightweight and comfortable design. They feature noise cancelling but no transparency mode. They are also IPX7 rated.
Jabra’s Elite 65t are designed for making calls and great for sports featuring sweat resistance. They feature fast charging with 15 minutes giving you 90 minutes of listening. These buds have been dramatically reduced due to the introduction of the smaller and better Elite 75t.
Anker’s Soundcore Liberty Air are a favorite. These AirPods lookalikes are half the price and sound better. If white isn’t your taste, their also available in black. They feature noise isolation and strong bass. There is also a new and improved version the Liberty Air 2 which feature better battery life, improved voice calling and USB-C Charging.
