According to the latest leaks out of Cupertino, tech YouTuber Jon Prosser’s sources suggest Apple are set to release their own set of over the ear headphones this year branded as AirPods Studio and with a price tag of $349.
Apple entered the headphone industry strong since its $3Billion acquisition of Beats in 2014 with the launch of their own brand of earphones, AirPods, in December of 2016.
Having had huge success with the launch of AirPods and its successor, AirPods Pro, Apple is turning to the Over the Ear market with its Studio range. Rumored to share a similarity in terms of looks with the Beats Studio but with a more modular design like the Apple Watch, they can be customized and tailored to the personality of the user.
We may also look forward to improvements in Apples’ W series chip, the mastermind technology behind the seamless communication between headphones and device.
An official announcement looks likely at the WWDC event on June 22.
