Apple celebrating US National Parks birthday

Apple have announced that they will be donating up to $1 million to the US National Parks Foundation in celebration of their 104th birthday. The final amount will be based on the purchases spent using Apple Pay this week.

From the 24th of August to the 30th of August Apple will be donating $10 for each purchase made on the Apple website, Apple Store App and in store via Apple Pay. The donation won’t exceed $1 million and will only include the first 100 000 purchases in the week.

Apple will also be releasing some Special Content

They will also be releasing some special content on the Apple TV app, Apple music and the App store. This content will include documentaries, app collections and more.

Apple have said they hope the collaboration will “give people the chance to experience the parks and learn more about what makes them an incredible national resource.” (Source: Apple Newsroom)
