Apple has removed the flag indicators for countries from its Region Selection page on Apple.com, Reddit user ‘MalteseAppleFan‘ first pointed out.
This page allows you to choose your country or region to get information and currencies for your location. It previously included flags next to the names of each country but now only lists countries by names.
It’s not clear if it’s a bug or simply a design change, but as the user suggested, it could be due to calls for Australia to redesign its flag after the Australian Football League wouldn’t display the Aboriginal flag. Apple has likely made the change to avoid any future negative attention.
