“We’re proud to be expanding in India and want to do all we can to support our customers and their communities,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. “We know our users are relying on technology to stay connected, engage in learning, and tap into their creativity, and by bringing the Apple Store online to India, we are offering our customers the very best of Apple at this important time.”

The Apple Store online in India will offer many of the services other countries are already used to, such as device configuration, a trade in program, engraving on AirPods, iPad, and Apple Pencil, financing options, gift wrapping, and more. They’ll also offer student deals for Mac and iPad, including special pricing, discounts on select accessories, and AppleCare+.

For now, all deliveries will be contact-free to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Customer support will be available by at least phone and live chat, and customers can shop with an Apple Specialist for recommendations, questions, or anything else a customer might need help with.

In October, customers can expect free online Today at Apple sessions led by local Creative Pros, focused on photography and music. Apple has been operating in India for more than 20 years, and the company supports almost 900,000 jobs across the country. However, they don’t currently have any company-owned Apple Stores in the country, and customers have had to shop at third-party retailers or Apple Authorized Resellers.
