Apple surveying iPhone users about use of USB charger amid removal from iPhone 12

Apple is sending out surveys to recent iPhone buyers to gather information on how and if they use the USB power adapter included in the box.

The survey asks a range of questions directly related to the use of the charger. Apple has also clarified that, by charger, they mean the ‘power adapter’ or plug that comes with the iPhone, not the separate USB to Lightning cable.

The screenshot was shared by a Portuguese Twitter user who said that he received the survey from an email from Apple.

It’s only days after multiple rumours have claimed that Apple might remove the charger from the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro. This is a move that would save money, reduce waste and be better for the environment – as we discussed in our article last week.
