Following the incident where Apple was accused of throttling performance in older iPhones as they released new ones, Apple has recently agreed to pay some of the iPhone users upto $25 to settle the lawsuits and complains. This settlement could cost apple anywhere between $250 to $500 million. Eligible devices include any iPhone 6, 6s Plus, 7, 7 Plus and SE that ran iOS 10.2.1 or later, or any iPhone 7 or 7 Plus that ran iOS 11.2 or later. Eligible customers had to live in the United States, and their devices had to run the given software before Dec. 21, 2017. An apple spokeswoman on Monday pointed to the court documents that the company denied allegations and agreed to the settlement to avoid costly litigation. “The settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing, fault, liability or damage of any kind,” Apple said.
