Apple TV app will come to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in November

Sony has confirmed that the Apple TV app will be coming to the PlayStation on 12th November, the same day as the PlayStation 5 launch.

Like the apps on smart TVs, users will be able to access Apple TV+, stream Apple events and access movies and TV shows they’ve purchased from the iTunes Store. It will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5.

Apple TV will be coming along with Disney+, Twitch, YouTube, Netflix, Spotify and Twitch apps with more streaming apps likely to be added in the future.

Sony also announced a new Media Remote for the PS5 for controlling media content. It has quick access buttons to Disney+, YouTube, Spotify and Netflix (it lacks one for Apple TV+). This will also let you adjust playback controls, volume and power.
