Apple updates iMac Pro with 10th-gen Intel processors

Apple has made some minor updates to the iMac Pro alongside huge updates to the 27-inch iMac today. The base model now features Intels’ latest 10th-generation Xeon processor.

The company also removed the 8-core base model from the lineup and has dropped the 10-core iMac Pro to the baseline. This can still be upgraded to 18-cores.

However, the iMac Pro hasn’t received improved studio microphones, the higher-resolution 1080p webcam or better speakers like the 27-inch iMac did today. It’s not known if Apple plans to overhaul the iMac Pro with its own processors next year.
