LG’s rollable OLED TV is now on sale – for $87,000

LG first teased its rollable OLED television at CES 2018, and unveiled a final prototype at last year’s Consumer Technology Show.

The TV is now available to buy in South Korea for a huge 100 million KRW or $87,000 USD. It’s currently not for sale in the United States or other regions.

LG Signature OLED R can unroll from a rectangular base in which it’s stored in, and roll back down when not needed or in the way. In terms of specs, the 65-inch screen is 4K HDR compatible with support for all the other display features and technologies in LG’s latest CX lineup.

Its Line View feature can pull the TV up a fraction of the full height and display a clock, music controls and other basic functions. The base – which comes in Signature Black, Moon Grey, Topaz Blue or Toffee Brown colours – has a soundbar built in which will deliver better sound than most TVs can provide.
