Microsoft adds Split View support to Outlook on iPadOS

After promising to add improved multitasking capabilities to the iPad app last year, Microsoft has now added support for Split View and Slide Over on Outlook.

Split View and Slide Over are both built in multitasking features in iPadOS 13. Split View means that users can open Outlook side-by-side with, say, a web browser or any other app that supports the feature. Slide Over lets you have multiple app windows open at once, so you can write an email whilst also viewing your calendar in Outlook.

Outlook now works with drag and drop, introduced with iOS 11

Drag and Drop, a feature introduced with iOS 11, lets you drag files and photos to other apps, and is also available with the latest update to Outlook for iPad.

It comes after Microsoft recently overhauled the application with new icons, based on their Fluent Design language, in an update released to beta testers. You can download Outlook for iPhone or iPad from the App Store.
