Prosser: WWDC hardware announcements ‘scrapped’

While we’re only 24 hours away from Apple’s annual WWDC keynote, Jon Prosser has revealed that all hardware announcements previously planned have been ‘scrapped’.

It’s after Apple was rumoured to announce a redesigned iMac with iPad Pro-like design, AirPods Studio over the ear headphones and AirTags at WWDC 2020. This could now be pushed back until later this year, or as press releases.

Before this, another leaker on Twitter said that the iMac was ‘postponed from WWDC’ and we ‘need to wait a little longer’. It’s unclear as to what’s causing the delays, but there could be supply chain disruption.

Prosser also suggested that he ‘might be wrong’, so it could be a last-minute decision from Apple. Stay with Apple TLD for the latest WWDC coverage and announcements.
