Stock of iPhone 11 starting to run low, suppliers say

Today, the New York Post is reporting that Apple is beginning to run low on stock of the iPhone 11, likely worldwide. The outlet contacted stores and carriers who said that all models (three of them) are low.

As the coronavirus outbreak affects Apple’s factories and supply chains for all their products, alongside shipment of those products and parts, retailers have little idea when new shipments will arrive.

It could also be that the carriers are stocking up on iPhone models in their warehouses, and controlling in-store and online availability. Either way, the customer’s delivery dates will still be affected by the amount of iPhones available.

After what could be the worst of the coronavirus effects on Apple, production has begun to pick up again, but new releases could see delays due to third-party manufacturers shutting down temporarily to deal with the coronavirus.
