When it was released, the Apple Watch Series 3 GPS + Cellular would set you back a handsome $380. Recently, it’s gone for around $230. But if you thought that price was low, the 38mm Apple Watch Series 3 Silver Aluminium is only $199 on Amazon. If silver doesn’t suit you, however, the space grey model doesn’t have this great promotional pricing, still priced $100 more at $299.
If cellular isn’t a draw to you, waiting until November 27 will score you the GPS-only model from Walmart for just $129.
While this is a smokin’ deal, when considering Apple Watches, keep in mind that this model is now two generations out-of-date. This means you won’t enjoy the many featured offered on later devices such as the bigger display, ECG, fall detector, better battery life, and a microphone which can detect if sound is loud enough to damage your hearing.
With that said, the Apple Watch Series 3 is still packed full of useful features, which are just enough for most people. This model is reasonably snappy and fast, has okay battery life, and is water-resistant. Plus, at the price, it offers considerably more features than other similarly-priced smart watches and fitness trackers. Let’s say you’re just getting into the Apple Watch game and you don’t know where to start. This is a great place. You can upgrade if you like the watch, but if it’s not for you, your wallet doesn’t take a very big hit, as opposed to springing for the latest model right away.
