WhatsApp gets UI improvements and more in latest update

WhatsApp is rolling out a new update that brings UI improvements and other changes for iPhone users. The new update brings the version number to 2.20.61.

Group audio and video calls now support up to 8 people, an increase of 4. This change was previously rolled out to people in late April, but should be available for every user. This makes it easier to quickly call a small group and have everyone involved in the call.

The interface of the app has also receive some changes. These are mostly minor, but one large change is the way the 3D and Haptic Touch menu looks, when holding on a message. On iOS 13, this now uses the default system style, with icons to the left. Before this, the app used WhatsApp’s own UI.

No other major changes have been found and the update is now available from the App Store.
