Apple Card users can now defer payments for August

Apple is allowing Apple Card customers to skip their payments for the sixth month in a row due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The company, along with Goldman Sachs, are extending what they call the Apple Card Customer Assistance Program through August after previously announcing an extension for April, May, June and July. This will let customers skip their August payments with no interest.

We understand that the rapidly-evolving COVID-19 situation poses unique challenges for everyone and some customers may have difficulty making their monthly payments. Apple Card is committed to helping you lead a healthier financial life.

You’ll need to enroll in the Customer Assistance Program to be eligible. 9to5Mac has an article on doing so with the Wallet app. If you’re not an Apple Card customer and you want to join the service, apply on Apple’s website.
