Apple unveils iPad 8th-generation with A12 Bionic chip

Apple has updated its budget iPad with a new processor, it announced at its event today. The iPad 8th-generation has an A12 Bionic chip from the iPhone Xs and XR and is 40 per cent faster than the A11 in the previous iPad.

It also boosts graphics power by two times. The iPad 8th-generation is ‘2x as fast’ as the best-selling Windows laptop and ‘6x as fast’ as the most popular Chromebook.

The new iPad also supports Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard. It starts at $329 ($299 for education) and will be available from Friday.
